FAQ: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How do I try your service?

To begin working on your project, please schedule a call with us so we can discuss the details of your video project. Afterward, we ask you to upload your footage based on the instructions given. This will enable us to start editing it according to your preferences. Finally, we will provide you with a link to download the completed work. More details will be given during the process. 

2. What types of videos do you edit?

We specialize in video editing for a variety of purposes, including content creators (YouTubers  or Social Media Influencers), online entrepreneurs (startups, online shops/e-commerce, blogs), and individuals. Our services encompass Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, tutorials, product or service videos, vlogs, talking head videos, video testimonials or interviews, reaction videos, travel videos, gaming, video ads for Google and Social Media and etc.

3. What tools do you use?

Our editors are all highly skilled with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Premiere Rush, Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Canvas, and After Effects. For stock images and videos, we use Pexels, Coverr and Videvo Free Footage. For the video collaboration, we use Google, Slack and Zoho. For music, we use Audio Jungle and YT.

4. What type of videos you DO NOT edit?

We currently do not handle wedding videos, animations, music videos, and documentaries beause we are focus more on content creators and video for small companies or individuals.

5. Why do you ask for a video call before ordering the editing service?

In order to create content you and your audience will love, it is essential to discuss your video project in more detail. This conversation will help us to understand better your style and desired results from the raw footage Before taking on a project, we evaluate it to ensure that we can expertly fulfill your needs. There are no strings attached!

6. What if I see errors in the ordering form and cannot submit?

Contact us at info@videoeditingdone.com, preferably with a screenshot of the error message.

7. How long does it take to get the first draft?

Depending on the extent, scope, demand of the projects, there might be different time frames for the delivery. Usually, once you request a video call with us and provide all necessary materials, you will receive an order confirmation. We will then send you the first draft within two business days. Please note that if your raw footage exceeds 60 minutes, the delivery time may be extended by one or two days. We will keep you updated with the estimated editing time for your video.

8. So, I have received the first draft. What should I do now?

Please follow the instructions in the email. Once you have reviewed the first draft, contact us to begin the revision process. We will not make any changes until you provide us with your feedback, which must be submitted within five days.

9. What is the turnaround time for revision requests?

After the delivery of the first draft, you can request revisions in five days. You must submit a revision form to start the revision process. Once we receive the revision form, we make the changes in two calendar days.

10. What happens if I fail to request revisions in five days?

Just notify us (info@videoeditingdone.com) that there are delays in five days. We can certainly extend the days for your review. However, if we do not receive any notifications or replies from you, the project will be marked completed. This means that you will receive the latest draft as the final video.

11. Can you adhere to my brand/style guides?

Yes, after our video call, we may ask you to send us your logo, intro, and brand guidelines so that we can integrate them into the video.

12. Can you recreate it, or match something I’ve seen?

Sure! You can include the link of your reference video in the email when contacting us, and we will replicate the style of the reference video.

13. Do you supply the music for the videos?

Yes, we only use licensed royalty-free music. If you receive any copyright claims from social media platforms, we will help you to clear those claims.

14. Can you upload my videos to YouTube?

No, we currently do not offer this service.

15. How do I upload footage?

Via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or even Dropbox. 

16. Is there a size limit on the raw footage files?

Yes! You can upload max 60 min of raw footage and the video deliverables can’t be over 30 minutes long except under special circumstances. However, we recommend staying under 15 mins. In general videos between 7-15 minutes perform better on YouTube. While, for TikTok videos we recommend between 11 and 17 seconds; for Instagram between 7 and 15 seconds; for YouTube Shorts between 15 and 60 seconds. File size in total per order must also not exceed more than 40GB. Better if it is under 20GB. 

17. How will we communicate to ensure the work gets done?

You can easily communicate with our video editors via email or through a dedicated private Slack channel. We like to keep things straightforward, so we currently do not offer private portals for subscriptions or memberships. 18. What if I send you 10 video editing requests in one go?

In order to ensure prompt completion of all orders, we limit the number of videos we can accept from each client to one at a time.

19. How does the payment work?

Payment for each edited video can be processed either through direct deposit or via Payoneer, which allows you to pay by debit or credit card.

20. Do I need to commit to a contract?

Absolutely not! We don’t impose any long-term contracts. You have the freedom to make payments on a per-video or package-to-package basis.

21. Can you provide a refund if I’m not happy?

If you partner with us, we’re committed to meeting your requests and resolving any issues. However, if you remain unsatisfied with our services, please inform us, and we’ll refund 40% of the plan or package fee. This is because we’ve already invested time and resources in creating your videos.

22. Can you create a thumbnail for me?

Yes! For an additional fee, we can create a stunning thumbnail for your video. We can also add custom animations for the beginning and end of your video, and other services.

23. Can you add subtitles for my video?

We can add subtitles for key messages. We cannot add subtitles for the whole video unless you are willing to pay more for that extra service.

24. Can you SEO optimize my videos for YouTube?

Yes! For an additional fee, we can assist you with writing effective titles and finding the appropriate tags, hashstags, and keywords to optimize your video‘s ranking on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.

25. What happens after I upload my project?

You will get an order confirmation email in a few hours. Then, you will receive the first draft in two calendar days. You can always contact us for updates.

26. Will I get a progress report with the estimated timing of delivery?

Yes!

27. What will I do if I am not satisfied with your editing?

If you are not satisfied with the final video, please explain what changes you would like to see and why. We will then do our best to make the necessary revisions, depending on the allotted limit.

28. Do you work with 4k?

Yes, please indicate that you need the video to be 4k. Our default resolution is HD.

29. What format will my video files be delivered in?

During the ordering process, we ask you the social media platform that you will be sharing the video. While the first draft will be made in the format suitable for your selected social media platform (e.g. YouTube 1920×1080), you can request additional formats during the revision process. Then, you will receive the final videos in multiple formats.

30. How long do you keep the files?

If no specific instruction is given, we may remove your files in 14 days from the completion of your project.

31. What are your business hours?

Our business hours are 10am to 6pm GMT Monday to Friday. We are located in Dublin, Ireland, and follow all major European Holidays. If you have any questions about specific office holidays feel free to contact us. Keep in mind that when editing videos we might work also late at night. However, for video call or messages that’s our business hours.
